Ozzy Osbourne - The Voice Of Black Sabbath,
For A Knighthood.
As you all may have heard by now, my campaigning for the whole of Black Sabbath to receive a Knighthood has since ceased, as of the beginning of 2013. For those who have not heard, I had received an email from the U.K. Cabinet, informing me that it would be highly unlikely that I would be able to achieve this for the whole band and that I would have a better chance of nominating the prominent member of the band first. So I have focused all my efforts on Ozzy Osbourne, as he is the voice and legendary front man of the band.
So far since starting this new campaign back on the 27th of February, 2013 ...I have only managed to gather about 2,692 signatures world wide! Yes, you read that correctly! 2,692 SIGNATURES!!
This is a very disappointing result so far!
I would have thought that I would have had a better outcome by now. I have had media support from a wonderful journalist from the Birmingham Mail, named Steve Bradley. He is the first journalist that took an interest in my story and wrote an article about it in his newspaper, along with a follow up story once I hit 2,000 signatures. Since then, my story had made news online and on radio around the globe but has since then come to a grinding halt.
One of the main reasons for this, I believe, is due to the very poor support my petition is receiving lately.
Ozzy Osbourne has millions of fans world wide!! And yet the signature count is only showing us that there are only UNDER 3,000 fans out there!
So I call upon ALL of you Ozzy Osbourne fans to stand up and be heard!!!
Sign this petition, and help get Ozzy the honour he deserves for all his years of service to his fans!!! He works so hard to entertain us!! Even after all these years!!! Please help me by supporting this petition! If Elton John and Paul McCartney (just to name a few), have been honoured with a Knighthood....then why not Ozzy Osbourne?
I have chosen the 6th Of July, 2014 to be the closing date for the petition, as it will mark the 7th Anniversary of when Ozzy received his star on the
"Birmingham Walk Of Stars" (in which he was the first to be inducted there in his hometown).
So please, help make this a reality! Sign, share and recruit as many people as you can! Show Ozzy how much you love and want to honour him for his great contribution to the Music Industry!
